Why twins, not solos
Single-LLM hallucination is the failure mode. A solo agent at temperature 0.6 will write a beautiful, citation-confident legal narrative that contains a fabricated CFR section. A solo at temperature 0.0 will refuse to take any position the record doesn’t already make explicit. Neither survives a VSO review.
50.05 / 49.95 is intentional. A 50/50 vote deadlocks. Yang must lead by an electron — enough to commit to a position — while Yin holds the veto on anything that doesn’t pass formal-math verification. The bias is forward, the brake is real.
Why this is design-only today. The live storm is 37 agents with real parent_artifact .py paths. Every twin on this page needs its Yin half written and its Yang half re-tuned before it joins the registry. Per repo policy: agents without provenance never go live.
